RIPLE GLAZE..EUC. MUSEUM PIECE..
This fairly large oviform double handled vase probably dates from 1917-1924. It bears the INCISED vertical oval with the FULPER name inside on the bottom.
It measures:
9 1/2" high
7 1/2 wide
5" handle to handle
2" opening at top
3 lbs 13oz - weight
Fulper pieces were significant in the American Arts and Crafts Movement.
Examples of this piece are in the Emerson Museum, Delaware Museum, Syracuse Museum, according to Dave Rago, renowned antique expert (Antique Roadshow)
This museum quality piece demonstrates contrasting glazes. A sophisticated blend of matte semi volcanic brown with suspended lumpy particles,flowing into a high gloss superior Flemington green glaze.
This oviform vase with its thick glazes has a commanding presence.

There is NO crazing. This is a fine example, not perfect. For a 100 years old piece - it's superb!!!!
