HTP-104 Candle Wick - 3 yards
Raw (unprimed) wicking for candle making. HTP wicks are used in applications that do not require a rigid wick. It works nicely in short containers (including gel), and novelty candles that aren't too tall. The size of this wicking is 104 or A4. It is best suited for candles with a diameter of approx. 3.00-3.5" and works well with paraffin, soy wax and candle gel. Prior to using, secure tab to wicking and dip wicking into wax or gel before securing into your container or candle. The spool that is shown in photo is the spool that this wicking is currently attached to. Your three yards will be cut from this spool.
If you make gel candles: if you are using pre-waxed (primed with paraffin) wicks and find that your candles have some clouding issues, possibly up and around the wick or on the surface, this could be the wax on the wick. Wicks that are raw (not primed) allow you to prime them in white mineral oil or candle gel for your gel candles to avoid these issues. Also, when you tab your own wicks, you can choose the longer stemmed wick tabs for additional safety.
Note ... if this is tacked onto an order for other wicks or scents, the additional shipping will be minimal!
Update - according to some sources, the HTP wicks that are being sold at some suppliers may be a new design, differing a bit from the older wicks.  This wicking is the HTP that has been available, not any newer design.
