Flame resistant NOMEX coveralls. Can be used for firefighting applications.US Military Flyer's Army CWU-27/P flight suit coveralls. Desert tan in color. New unused with tags. Size 44 short (29 inch inseam). Acquired from the US Military. Original cost of over 0.00. They are manufactured to military specification MIL-C83141A using producer-dyed fabric made from 92% meta-Aramid, 5% para-Aramid, and 3% conductive fiber. The zippers are made from Aramid with solid brass teeth. Meticulous in detail, these are genuine, first quality flight suits. New and unused with original tags. MADE IN USA
Aramid is a fire-resistant fabric that can withstand temperatures up to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Aramid is similar in texture to nylon, but it has no melt point or drip characteristics like most synthetic fabrics. Aramid is also lightweight, non-absorbent and has high tear- and abrasion- resistant properties. It can last up to three times longer than traditional fabrics. Aramid is also known by the brand name of NOMEX which was developed by Dupont Chemical Company.
