Jet pump puller
Useful tool to take out the jet pump
(to change the impeller or shaft)
For all JetSurf models
Instruction on how to use puller:
1) Loosen the couplings on the jet pump shaft - they should slide freely along the shaft;
2) Unscrew the screws securing the jet pump;
3) Unscrew the tail fairing with a hex key. It will be easier if you heat the fairing, for example with a hairdryer;
4) Screw in the puller, put a wooden stop, and screw the nut and washer onto the M12 stud bolt. Pull out the jet pump turning the nut with a wrench.
P.S. In difficult cases, if you have torn off the splines and the tail fairing cannot be easily unscrewed, take the drill and make a hole in the fairing (drill diameter greater than 10 mm), unscrew the bolt securing the shaft, and screw in the M6 stud bold instead directly into the shaft (stud bolt is in the bundle). Screw in puller's M12 stud bolt into the M6 stud bolt and pull the jet pump out.
Materials:
Steel 40NiCr6, hardness 50 HRC, thread M12
Custom bundle:
puller, M6 and M12 stud bolts, nut and washer.
