Description
Here is a rare and handsome Weller Coppertone vase with an unusual glaze attributed to Stoin M Stoin. The complex black glaze over green is a visual treat – Stoin was a Bulgarian émigré who worked at several potteries including Weller, Niloak and Burley-Winter – recognized as an artist who designed many shapes, he was especially known for his unusual glaze creations. This thick walled, very handsome and substantial vase with great handles is 8 ½” tall and 8” across the center. There are no cracks or chips – one micro flake on the foot which I believe has glaze over it - honestly looks like it was in the make – it is nothing and mentioned only for accuracy. This is a great piece from the late 1920s with an Eye-Candy glaze and Art Deco inspired geometric handles - out of a several generation Cumberland County, Pa estate – buyer pays 21.95 safe bubble shipping, Insurance and tracking in USA - ***NOTE*** shipping is 29.95 west of the MississippiMore than just a pretty picture.
